What books did the Emergency! characters read as kids?

Johnny probably read anything about horses or the outdoors.
Hank read books about history.
Mike...anything with a fire dept theme or about fire trucks.
Marco probably read books about cooking.
As for Rampart: Dixie read Nancy Drew and romantic type books.
Joe read books about musicians and a few joke books.
Kel would have read books about medicine and hospitals.
Morton would have read books about sports and medicine.

Johnny would read
some books about Native-American tribes and ancients.
I would say the same thing about Chet that he would read a lot of comic books,
including jokes and pranks.

I can see Hank reading anything by Robert Louis Stevenson and Jack London, anything with adventure.
"Swiss Family Robinson" and the like.
Roy, books by Mark Twain. For some reason, I can picture Roy as a little boy pretending he's Tom Sawyer
or Huck Finn riding a raft down the river. :)
Johnny, anything with
horses.
Chet would enjoy joke books.
Mike, just about anything he could get his hands on.
Dixie, "Little Women" would be her favorite.
