Decorate the house . . . How would each Emergency! character decorate his/her house inside and/or outside for the holidays?
I see both Roy and Hank as going all out with the house
decorating. They live in neighborhoods that pride themselves in their
decorations, so at their houses I think you would see a sleigh in the yard,
pulled by reindeer, not to mention Santa at the helm. Also the trees would have
lights on them, some clear, some with color, some blinking, some not, and of
course their houses would be trimmed with pine and lights.
Marco would have very colorful decorations. Not so much the items in his yard,
as his trees would have the colorful lights and so would his house.
Mike would be the classic clear lights kind of guy. He would have them around
his house, in appropriate trees, and the clear candle lights on his windowsills.
Chet's decorations would be more unique. He would have the Grinch in his yard
instead of Santa, but it would be a smiling Grinch. He wouldn't take time to put
lights on his house, but would have some blinking colorful ones on his hedges.
Johnny would do less than anyone. He might have a few of those candles on his
windowsills, and maybe, if he had time, one tree with lights on it.
Johnny - Lights around the windows of his apartment. On the inside, fresh pine
boughs on the window sills. A wooden nativity that his grandfather carved on the
coffee table. One sprig of mistletoe over the doorway, just for luck. :>
Roy - House all done in lights with Santa and Rudolph on the roof. Inside, lots
and lots of kid made decorations, from paper chains to snowflakes.
Cap - All white lights in his yard and house. Huge wreath on his door that his
wife made. Inside, holly wrapped around the staircase and over the mantle, with
candles on the mantle as well. A large candy dish on the coffee table kept
filled with ribbon candy.
Chet - An animated plastic Santa in the front, blinking lights all over his
house. Inside, mistletoe over every doorway.
Marco - Lighted up plastic nativity in the yard, (okay, that's a stereotype, but
all the Hispanic families in our neighborhood do that :>), lights on the house,
with a lighted star on the roof. Inside, lots of ponsettias and lights. A
smaller, much nicer nativity on the coffee table.
Mike - Nice string of traditional multi colored lights around his windows. The
pine tree in his yard is lit up as well. Candy canes line the walkway to his
front door. Inside, gingerbread men and garland decorate the eaves.
Hank - Lots of lights on the house, which he has to fight with
every
year because no matter how carefully he wraps and stores them they
end up a jumbled mess when he goes to put them up again (LOL), a
wreath on the door and a light up Santa in the front yard.
Mike - He lives in an apartment but still puts lights in the windows
and around the door.
Marco - Lots of lights on Mama's house and he decorates the trees in
the yard as well. Big wreath on the door. At his apartment, simple
lights around the windows and doors.
Chet - Lots of multicolor lights on the front door of his apartment.
On the balcony he has more lights and a tinsel wreath with the color
wheel the changes it constantly. Tacky light up reindeer on the
balcony as well, which he thinks are really cool.
Roy - Neat rows of colored lights as directed by his wife and around
the windows, doors, light post, and even the garage. A pair of light-up candy
canes on the front door.
Johnny - Simple white lights around the deck, windows, and doors of
his ranch. A large plain fir wreath on the door and single candles
in each window. Large red velvet bows on the barn and along the
fence that borders the drive and the street.
Roy-- Lots of lights. Twinklers in multi-colors around
the outside trees and inside tree. Multi-colored
non-twinklers around windows and doors. White lights outlining the walkway. Santa and reindeer on top of
house, maybe a snowman family in yard.
Johnny-- Colored lights around windows and door. Fir
wreath on front door with holly berries sprinkled
around. Small tree with tiny twinkler lights.
Captain Stanley-- Lights all over the house, as
directed by his wife. Lights in his outside tree. All
one color, probably blue or white.
Marco-- Multi-colored lights all over his mom's house
and in the trees. Inside tree covered with bulbs and
ornaments. Ice cycles and twinkling lights.
Chet--Anything and everything gaudy and bright.
Twinkling lights. Mistletoe over the doorways. Plastic
light up Santa and reindeer. Wreath on door that plays
12 different Christmas songs.
Mike-- White lights around door and window of
apartment. Small tree with white lights and some glass
ornaments reflecting the lights.
Chet - Inside, he would have a silver aluminum tree with a
rotating color wheel shining on it. Outside, he would have tons of big lights,
strung crookedly.
Roy - Inside, he would have a huge live tree complete with a model train and
village underneath. Lots of handmade (kid-made) ornaments on the tree. Greenery
on the mantel, stockings for everyone including the dog. Outside, a big plastic
Santa in the yard, lights on all the bushes and along the gutter.
Cap - Inside, a tabletop tree decorated with bows and pearl garland. Greenery on
the mantel, with bows and more pearl garland to match the tree. Lots of bayberry
candles everywhere. Outside, a huge wreath on the front door with a white
spotlight shining on it.
Marco - Inside, no tree, but his grandmother's Nativity set is on a table in the
corner of his living room, surrounded by greenery and white candles.
Mike - Inside, a tall, thin tree with white lights and snow on the branches.
Outside, a wreath on the door and miniature white lights on all the bushes.
Johnny - Inside, has a card that Roy's kids made him taped to the fridge.
Outside, stuck a pre-made stick-on bow on his apartment door and called it
decorated.
