What are your favorite Roy scenes in various Emergency! episodes?

Purry

Here are a few I enjoyed (even though there are dozens).  The eppy "Details", Valerie couldn't remember Roy's name, just the whole eppy was good.  Also, "Green Thumb", the one that has Roy taking care of a lady's plants.  And the one that the nurse is calling Roy all the time and Johnny is worried about Roy's marriage, I don't remember the name.

Claudia:

I've always liked the scene where Roy gets all disoriented in the disco (That Time of Year, maybe?)  Also like the expression on his face at the end of The Nuisance, where Nurse Ratchid looks him up and down and calls him Steve Stunning.

Wanda H.:

I'd have to say that my favorite Roy scene involves the guys playing their prank on Chet.  It would have to be where Roy's swatting invisible flys.  LOL!  ;-)

Ziggy:

Actually, one of my favorite Roy scenes also involves Cap. In "Nagging Suspicion," Roy grabs the sports section to check out the horses and goes into the apparatus bay... there, Hank is lovingly polishing something on the engine and Roy comments, "She's a beauty, isn't she?" Hank says, "Yeah, she is. I'll always be nuts about these engines." Roy: "It kind of gets in your blood." Then Hank asks if the Dodgers won, Roy begins to open the paper, shrugs and answers, embarrassed, "I don't know!" and Hank gives him a funny look.

Another fav. Roy "scene" is most of "Problem," when he's feeling guilty about that guy dying. That he wanted to quit the paramedic program because of it shows how much compassion he has. I'm always so angry at that doctor who chewed Roy out... Roy was one of the biggest believers in the paramedic program and that guy had no qualms about telling him off for something that wasn't even Roy's fault. Errrr. I cheered Dixie on when she chews that guy out. :)

Then the happy look on Roy's face when the kid he rescued from the burning house was reunited with his dog. "Hey, dry those tears!" he told the kid as he handed him Pablo. (see how I remember animals' names and not the humans? <g>)

A couple more Roy scenes... "There goes Chet Kelly spreading good-will in the station again" in "Quicker Than the Eye."  and "You heard the captain, Kelly, dump your date" in "Inspection."

Oh, another good Roy scene: I forget the episode, but I think Johnny is flirting with a nurse (again <g>) at Rampart and is basically ignoring Roy, who's trying to get him to get a move on. Roy says something like "Can I get you a stretcher?" and Johnny askes "Huh?"  I love Roy! He answers, "'Huh?' Boy, are you out to lunch!"  Poor Johnny is totally clueless as to what Roy's talking about! Score one for Roy! :)

And "Insomnia"  The guys rig a stokes up like a cradle for Johnny and Roy tells him not to think of it as a cradle, but a hammock, and Johnny says, "I'd rather be tired."

Details when he meets Valerie's kids...

That's a classic scene! I guess this also goes in my Roy faves when Johnny's hurrying Roy along and Roy says, "I thought they were kind of cute."

Just watched "Family Ties." I love Roy in this, paranoid about his mother-in-law's annual visit. The scene where Roy's trying to get in shape by doing sit-ups (notice how Henry's 'counting' along <g>) and asks the guys how they think he'd look with a moustache. "Not on your best day, pal," Marco answers. And Hank comparing him to various movie stars "Groucho Marx... Charlie Chaplin... Charlie Chan... Beef Wellington!" (the last to Marco, who had wanted to know what to make them for dinner). Then the end scene after Roy finds out his 'beloved' mother-in-law can't make it, the huge grin on his face as he tells the others JoAnne's sister has the flu and needs her to babysit the kids. I also love Hank's "The plane got hijacked!"

Wanda C.:

I love the scene in "The Stewardess" where Johnny tells Roy that the girl asked for his number before he could get hers, and Roy is all upset that not even Jo Anne ever asked for his number, then later, he asks Chet if any girl ever asked for his number.  LOL  Roy's expressions are priceless in those scenes.

Last night I watched "Decision" again, and Roy simply shines in the scene in which he saves the little boy, then his dog.  Also his humor shows in the same ep when Johnny says, "For 2 cents, I'd join up with Station ? (forgot the name) myself."  Then, without saying a word, Roy simply lays 2 pennies on the squad and walks away.

Jill H:

One with Johnny I really like doesn't even involve and speaking of either of their parts.  In Fools, when good ol' Dr. Donaldson is bagging on firemen, Johnny is ready to go off on him, but you can see, even though he's upset too, Roy is very aware of how his partner is reacting and drags him out the door.  I love to watch Roy's face, as he is torn between his own indignation at the garbage coming out of the doctor's mouth, and knowing Johnny is going to do something they'll all regret, and he wants to get him out of there.

Another one is with all the guys, I guess.  In Hypochondri-Cap, when Cap confides in him about his hands, poor Roy doens't know how to get through to him, and then in the day room when Cap assumes Roy told the guys, Roy is totally exasperated.  I love that scene.  And when he asks the guys if they're happy now that they know.  LOL

The one with Sister Barbara.  Can't remember the names of the ep now, but I love the whole scene in the bus.  He's so sweet to her and then he's hesitant about reading our of her prayer book, but he does it anyway to make her feel better.  It's just a great rescue.

Audrey:

I like it in Showbiz when Roy ends up as the model they're looking for...his and Johnny's expressions are great, but Roy's is good.

LOL!  I think my fav in that ep with both of them is when they get off the hook and Roy says he's gonna call Joanne....Johnny wants to talk to Joanne, too, so he has someone to share the good news with. :o)

Ness:

Just a funny Roy moment to share from the episode Frequency  . . . I love it when Roy's looking at that kinetic sculpture and walks away from it saying: "I don't know, I must be getting old.  I don't like pop art, rock music, I don't smoke pot, keep my hair cut too short, I take a shower every day . . ."  ROFLOL!  That is such a funny scene.

I  love the scenes from Snakebite where Roy is waiting for Johnny to be brought in and then his reactions after Johnny finally gets to the hospital.

In Heavy Weight, when Roy says, "Yeah, just like Chet's fried chicken" in response to Johnny's "I'm skinny but tough" comment.

I love almost all the scenes with Roy in Cooks Tour when he's talking about making beef bourguignonne.  And when he said to Johnny, "Why don't you just get married and stop feeding your neuroses."  LOL

I also love the scenes between him and Ed in Trainee.  He's so very intense, and it makes me understand just how much he believes in the paramedic program.

And, of course, I just can't forget to mention the T-shirt/turnout/tummy scene in Problem!  ROFL

Linda2:

Though I like many of the scenes with Roy in them, my favorite one is at the end of the ep Rip Off.  At the beginning of the show Johnny has just finished "fixing" the noise that even the mechanic couldn't hear.  At the end of the show he hears it again.  Roy can't hear anything.  His look is priceless but what he says cracks me up every time (okay so I'm easily amused) "Are you sure it's not the loose seed in your gord?"

Peggy J Bedingfield:

I like the Roy Johnny scene from Honesty where Roy is chewing on Johnny in the squad. "Go ahead, convince me! Convince me the full honest truth is best!.....If you are holding Dr. Morton up as an example, I think you're both nuts!( or something to that affect)
