Hank - He's
practical so I think he buys a little at a time
throughout the year.
Mike - I think he starts around Labor Day is done shopping by mid
December.
Roy - Well, knowing his wife, he is finished with Christmas shopping
by Labor Day, except that one really special item for each of the
kids.
Marco - Well, he basically does all his shopping in November and
early December with some help from his Mom!
Chet - He's a Christmas Eve shopper. Last minute for everyone and
everything!
Johnny - He does all his shopping from the day after Thanksgiving
through December 23rd. He refuses to shop on the 24th!(He' a lot
like me!)
Hank
Mrs. Stanley does their Christmas shopping throughout the year.
But around the 20th of December, Hank gives his oldest daughter
some money to buy a present for his wife..
Mike
is very methodical with his shopping and
has everything purchased and wrapped by Thanksgiving.
Marco
and his mom spend one evening in early December,
shopping for everyone on his list (and he manages to get it all done that night!)
Chet
starts his Christmas shopping on Dec. 23rd,
usually dreaming up gag gifts for most of his friends.
Roy
gets to spend the day after Thanksgiving driving Joanne to all the early bird sales
(unless he's lucky enough to be working that day . . .).
But he does enjoy wrapping the gifts with Chris & Jennifer's help.
Johnny
likes to get something special for each of his friends,
and spends a lot of time choosing just the right gift.
He usually starts in October, and sometimes 'makes' his gifts by hand.
Johnny - Starts shopping about a week after Thanksgiving
and tries to be done before Christmas Eve. Then when Chet clues him
in on how to buy ahead for the next year after the holiday,
Johnny tries that, until he realizes his apartment doesn't have enough closet space.
Roy - Goes with Joanne the day after Thanksgiving
to help carry all the packages (if he's off)
and they leave the kids with a neighbor or Johnny (if he's willing).
Cap - He and his wife try to shop around the day after Thanksgiving,
because he hates the crowd. But she shops alone the day after Thanksgiving.
He stops somewhere on the way home from work about a week
before Christmas to buy his wife's gift.
Mike - He's done before Thanksgiving
Marco - Starts around Halloween
Chet - He does all his shopping the week after Christmas
for the next year so he gets everything on clearance.
Dixie - She's done in July
Brice - He comparison shops and buys all his stuff at the lowest price possible
on the day after Thanksgiving, writing down what each item he's looking for costs
and where it's at. Then when he gets it all written down on a chart,
he goes back and buys the stuff. :o)
Johnny: Shops between 9 and 5 Christmas Eve
Roy: Begins picking things out the day after Thanksgiving
and little by little sneaks them in the house until he's finished around the 20th of December.
Hank: Does very little Christmas shopping,
but generally has it done before mid December because he hates the crowds.
Marco: Another of those Christmas Eve shoppers,
but at least he already knows what he will be picking up.
Chet: Goes around Dec 21st and hits every Dollar Tree he can find to do his shopping.
Mike: Waits until the second week of December,
the crowd isn't too bad at that time and the selection is still good.
Brice: Gives out handwritten scrolls of the rules that each firefighter has broken during the year.
Dixie: She shops from the day after Thanksgiving until she's finished,
which is usually around Dec. 18th.
Kel: Picks out his presents early and then on Christmas Eve
leaves work for a while to actually purchase them.
Joe: Does it all on the day after Thanksgiving
Morton: Does his year round when he sees something that someone would like.
I think Roy would shop ahead
Johnny MIGHT since he planned ahead for Dixie's surprise party,
but I do agree that he seems like a last minute shopper.
I think Marco might whip up containers of "goodies" for his friends,
since he's such a good cook!
All the others would probably shop from Dec. 1 on to Christmas.
Johnny - Despite his
best intentions, he does all his
shopping on Christmas Eve.
Roy - He does all of his shopping on the day after
Thanksgiving, mostly because Joanne makes him go.
Captain Stanley - He and his wife start around Labor
Day. Done and wrapped by December 1.
Mike - He shops throughout the year. Starts wrapping
December 1.
Marco - Starts just after Thanksgiving and finishes on
Christmas Eve.
Chet - He shops the massive clearance sales after
Christmas for gifts for the next year.
Roy--looks for things and sees
what the kids want during the fall, starts
buying in November, has most of his shopping done by early December, except
for JoAnne's present, which takes almost to the week before Christmas to
find the 'perfect' gift
Johnny--he tries--really tries--to get his shopping done before the major
holiday rush, but never seems to get *everybody's* and ends up having to do
some last minute shopping for at least *one* person on Christmas Eve; this
he obsesses about at work and to anybody who'll listen
Chet--Christmas Eve shopping all the way, but hits only one or two stores
and gets gifts for everybody at those couple of stores, perhaps even gift
certificates for everybody, except for his mother and little sister
Marco--Thanksgiving through Christmas, he loves the holiday crowds
Mike--tries to get stuff for people all year 'round, as he sees something
special and/or appropriate for somebody, and puts it on a shelf in his
closet
Hank--early fall through mid-December, will go out of his way to get
something special for his twin girls and his wife, usually ends up getting
some firefighter-related item for each of his men
Brackett--he's too busy to notice the time of year until the Rampart staff
party is upon him or Dixie makes some remark to him two days before
Christmas
Dixie--like Mike, she'll pick up stuff as she sees it year 'round
Early--shops the first couple of weeks in December
Morton--shops the week before Christmas
Johnny--Likes to get unusual gifts for friends, shops
around two weeks before Christmas.
Roy--Buys early fall for family. Takes time for guys
at work, usually thru shopping by Christmas eve.
Marco--Likes to start around Halloween and finish just
before Christmas eve so he can watch others run around
like mad.
Mike--Quietly picks up presents during the year.
Cap--waits and shops with his wife right after
Thanksgiving. Goes out on Christmas Eve and picks up
wife's present he put in laway a loooong time back in
summer.
Chet-- Likes to give gag gifts. Waits until THE VERY
last minute to buy gifts for all but Mom.
Dixie--picky about her gifts and constantly on lookout
for "special" something for her "special men"
Brackett--Usually totally unaware Christmas is even a
season!
