Name some of your favorite Johnny Gage scenes in Emergency!

Linda2:

In "Rip Off", one of my favorite "Johnny scenes" is the one at the beginning when he tells Roy he fixed the problem.  When Roy asks what did he do he says "I fixed it!" LOL

Wanda H.:

Some of my favorite scenes of Johnny's are the owies.  But one of my all time favorites comes from an ep, The Inspection, when  Johnny's pulled a prank on Chet.  And Roy says "You've pulled this one on him twice last month."   And Johnny says "he's a slow learner."  Then he can see  Chet pulling out his keys opening the trunk and then you hear Chet scream.  And Johnny laughs and says "see?" and Roy comments on how Chet is a slow learner.  Chet comes in carrying the CPR dummy dressed like a woman, and Cap comes past and tells Chet to put away his girlfriend.  :-)

Ziggy:

Ones I can think of off-hand: at the end of Messin' Around: "I do believe the Phantom got caught!" and when he had rescued that girl from the burning tree house and the mother gave him a hug and kiss... Johnny glances, embarrassed, at Hank, who gives him a cute smile, then Johnny turns back to watch the mother (I think) and he's got a satisfied smile on his face.

I just thought of another fave Johnny scene... when Johnny and Roy are touching up the squad and Chet starts to go on about how Johnny's latest girl spends lots of time talking to him, Chet, about how she just puts up with Johnny because she doesn't want to hurt Johnny's feelings, etc., etc. The usual Phantom crappola to goad Johnny.  Johnny stands up and backs Chet into the squad by pointing the wet paintbrush at him in a subtle gesture of "one more word and this paint is on your uniform."

"Saddled,"  the one where Johnny's set on becoming a rodeo "star" and when he's put in charge of the rope drill... Marco makes the noose. Love it!

Vanessa:

First and foremost,  I adore the scene on the scaffold in my all-time favorite episode "Virus".  That whole scene, from the moment he rappels down to the moment he tumbles off, just takes my breath away.

In "Trainee", there are two scenes I like.  The scene with Dixie giving Johnny a tetanus shot after he cut his hand is terrific.  So is the scene where he's telling Dixie about his fall down the cliff and how he started thinking about repenting for a lifetime of sins.

Just about any scene in "Frequency".  I really, really love it when Johnny is so serious and intense.  It adds a great depth to the man.

Also, I LOVE it ANYTIME Johnny says the word "available", the phrase "Ah, man", or the sentence "What the hell happened?"

Snakebite, my second favorite episode.  I agree with everything Wanda C. said.  Let me add these:

I like when Johnny says, "Ah, man, I've been bit by a rattler."  And I think he says "Damn it" after that or something.

I love the entire scene on the back of the engine when he's treating himself.  He looks sooo sick.

I also love the ending when Mrs. Peterson brings him the cookies and he offers Chet one and then says, "Well, I do, and that's all that matters."  I particularly like the tone of his voice when he says that.

And, let me just say this, I love any and all scenes that involve Johnny's fantastic grunting . . .

Audrey:

I love the scene in Trainee where he turns around at the sound of the dog in the yard and also the shot scene with Dixie.

I love the girdle rescue scene in Saddled. Poor Johnny! lol

The scaffold scene in Virus...and the part where they first pull him up on the roof.  *sigh*

In Computer Error, I love the scene where he's telling *Gloria #2* that he has the credit card right in his pocket and Dixie checks out his butt and gives an approving/confirming expression at Roy.  Also when the guys are teasing about him being cheap!

Then there's Fair Fight, when the couple starts arguing and he says, "When is that ambulance gonna get here?"  And when he's trapped ofcourse! lol

The scene in Snakebite when he's chewing gum and telling what happened with the boy and the mom. And when his limp form is lifted onto the exam table.

Details when he meets Valerie's kids...

In Loose Ends when Johnny climbs in the car and the little girl Tina is in there and her father is dead. He handles it with class act and is so good with talking to her.

In Fair Fight when the rumbling starts and he looks up...that expression says it all.

In Computer Error, when he keeps talking to *Gloria Truelove*...he's so naive in handling the situation, it's sweet. And the scene at the end with his shirt off and a mopy face is cute.

In The Old Engine when the drug overdose is in the closet, then runs out, Johnny turns quick and kind of loses his balance...I always like that part. Then later at the base station when he wants Dixie to put a Band-Aid on his elbow.

In Alley Cat, when they're coming back from a run, the crew all quietly goes into the dorm, someone says something and Johnny turns around and shushes them, and Captain Stanley is right behind him.

In Kids, when the boy is caught in the gumball machine and the two paramedics are listening to the kid and store owner take verbal jabs at one another.

In Mascot when Johnny has to get up in his long underwear to go sleep with Bonnie the dog.

Any scene in Women when he is trading banter with Christy.

Ross:

Besides everyone else's answers, I can't help but guffaw every time I watch the episode where the two little boys come straggling into the station, and there's handcuffs locked on one or both of them, and they ask Johnny for help.  Gage ponders the problem and then announces he may need to use a wreltnick or a stezelhydoxinator or something.  The sounds of such devices scare the kids and they are about to vamoose, when John stops teasing and tells them, "Or, I could just use a wrench (or pliers or something...can't remember, exactly).  Too cute! And, too funny! I also love it when they get called out to remove a sexy young lady's big toe from a bathtub faucet!  Favorite Johnny AND Roy scene! LOL!

Wanda C.

I love the scene near the beginning of "The Stewardess" where Johnny is talking to her and every few words he throws out something like, "Do you get to L.A. often?" or "Ever spend any time in L.A.?"  Those totally crack me up

Another is in "The Nuisance" when Dixie has introduced him to his physical therapist (same actress) and he keeps holding her hand when she just meant for him to shake it.  Then his lame line of, "I can tell by your eyes that you're a great physical therapist."  LOL  I love Johnny, but that was lame.  I don't know but I could easily see her as a possible love interest for Johnny on the show that would actually work.  They had chemistry in both eps.

In "Snakebite" I was just gonna say every Johnny scene, but here are a couple that I really love.  I enjoy the look on Johnny's face when he's taking his BP...the one right before he tells Marco to get an IV ready.  It's like he knows exactly what he has in store for himself and you can tell by the look that he's dreading it.

Next would be the moment he has to give himself the IV, he says "Here goes.." and then a grunt.  We knew that he was going to have to do that from the previous scene, but he really played that one out well.

Also I love the point when the orderlies transfer him from the gurney to the table.  Randy did an excellent job of keeping his body totally limp.  I guess the vulnerability is what gets me in this scene!

Linda C.

My favorite scenes come from Limelight, where Johnny is sick of Brice (but then who wouldn't be??).  There's the scene where Johnny and Roy are at Rampart and Johnny's complaining about hearing about Brice constantly.  He says something like "Brice, rice, mice, lice...even the sound of his name makes me sick."  That quote is not right, but you probably know what I mean.  The other scene that I love is where he and Roy are tending to the hyperventilating babysitter and Johnny is busy with those three hellions.  I crack up every time I watch him "fighting" with those boys!  And when the dog runs into the door, and Johnny turns and says, "that dumb dog..."!!!  Of course, this is also the scene with the Roy bloopers, where he checks his wrist twice for a watch, and he isn't wearing it.  Oh, and when Johnny scolds the dog for allowing the boys to put the BP cuff around his neck...well, I could go on and on.

Oh, one more!  I don't know which ep it is, but the one where Johnny and Roy get a call to the man with his back out because of his huge, friendly dog is so funny!  It's more of a Roy scene, because the dog just loves Roy, but Johnny's reactions are hilarious!

Just a few.  This topic is way too hard to narrow down!!!

Jill:

Okay, I'm going to try to pick a few favorites, without listing every E! episode there is.  LOL

The Exam:  I love Johnny's intensity when he tells Roy he really wants to pass the exam and doesn't want to go back to the engine.

Frequency:  The whole scene where he sees Pam.  Hardly any dialogue on Johnny's part, just letting us see his pain through his face and eyes.

That Time of Year:  When Cap's talking to the lady and her boyfriend about telling him the guy wasn't in the club.  When Johnny comes over and asks if this was the guy they were looking for.  You know he's angry because Roy was hurt for nothing.  He doesn't say what he's thinking, but you can see the disgust on his face as he walks away.

How Green Was My Thumb:  For just pure fun, dopey Johnny, the whole scene in the elevator with the nurse and then later when he meets Mrs. Johnson, he keeps telling Roy that he never ceases to amaze him.  LOL

Snakebite:  Besides all the great Johnny owie stuff that everyone's already mentioned, I love the way he is with the lady in the first accident.  He's so caring and gentle with her, even though he's frustrated that he can't do more for her.

Smoke Eater:  The whole exchange at the table with Capt. Roberts, after they lost the heart patient.  Both Johnny and Roy are upset and then have to put up with the junk that captain was spouting.  Some great looks.
