It’s early to mid December and
the characters of Emergency!
are decorating for the holidays. What kind of tree do
you think each one would have? How would it be decorated? Here are some ideas
people in the fandom came up with. Enjoy!
Johnny - real tree, hand-made ornaments - many of them
Indian in nature; pinecone and berry garland; white lights; definitely some
ornaments from Jennifer and Chris DeSoto, and rather than an angel on top I think
he would have a dream catcher hanging above the tree.
Roy - white flocked artificial tree; lots of red, green, and gold balls; lots
of hand-made ornaments from the kids, colored lights; definitely a blond angel
on top - his daughter would insist!
Cap - artificial tree, colored lights, different colored glass balls,
gold garland, a star on top.
Chet - gotta be a silver aluminum tree with a color wheel! Not sure about
what type of ornaments...maybe some bubble lights (?)
Mike - artificial tree, white lights, lots of fire truck ornaments
Marco - real tree, colored lights; hand-made ornaments from all of the nieces
and nephews; angels on the tree and definitely a big angel on top; one really
gaudy ornament - a gift from Chet
Capt Stanley - real Tree decorated with colored lights
and balls; with popcorn strings, mini fire engines and ice chilies
Roy - artificial tree, decorated with
white lights and colored balls. Also with popcorn strings that his kids did and
other decorations that his kids made in school. 7 ice chilies
Johnny
- small artificial tree with colored lights; mini fire engines, mini squads,
ambulances and balls.
Marco - real Tree decorated with mixture
of colored and white lights. Balls, ice chilies, mini fire engines and other
types of decorations
Chet
– artificial tree?
I see Marco's tree with lots of traditional handmade ornaments,
many of them of punched tin or silver. I
see his tree as being more of a religious-themed one than a Santa/snowman/etc.
one - lots of angels & stars
& wise men & basic glittery sparkling ball ornaments, etc., a Nativity
underneath, and an angel on the top.
For Chet I see one of those small white-with-blue-ornaments kinda kitschy trees
that one
of his sisters probably got him. I imagine he goes to his folks' for Xmas
and thinks of that as his "real"
tree.
We know Roy & Cap are married, and I always think of Mike as being married,
too, for some reason. The three
of them I see with your basic real tree, with handmade-by-their-kid ornaments
on it, mixed in with traditional trimmings, with either a star or a Santa on
the top. Roy's would have a toy train running around the perimeter of the
tree skirt.
If Johnny were to have a tree, I see him with a small to medium size potted
live evergreen that he can re-plant after Xmas. He wouldn't have a lot of
ornaments, but what he would have would be of a nature-y type - animals, birds,
leaves, acorns, fruits, etc. Maybe a few strings of popcorn &
cranberries. I see his with a star on top.
I figure Johnny would have a real tree, but one of the little
ones, like maybe 2 ft...with dime store ornaments on it and a few of the
Christmas lights.
Roy
I see with a silver artificial one, white garland and blue ornaments on it. And
instead of lights on it, there would be a colorwheel that shines on it and
colors change from blue, to red, to green.
Marco
would have a real tree, traditional ornaments and lights on it.
Mike I see with a real tree, the old
fashioned bigger lights on it, and a few old-fashioned ornaments spread out on
it.
Cap
would have a huge real tree with lights on it and *country* themed ornaments on
it.
Chet
I could see with an artificial tree, about 4 ft high, garland on it and just a
few ornaments...mostly round ball type.
Johnny would have a real tree decorated with traditional
and handmade ornaments from his childhood. :) Plus a few added homemade
ornaments by Chris and Jennifer.
Dixie:
I think she would have a lot of angels, lace, and soft white lights.
Maybe in the Victorian style. Definitely a hint of romance! It would be
a small green artificial tree.
Early:
I see lots of silver and gold balls. Maybe some musically themed
ornaments. White lights, gold garland and lots of tinsel. Tree is
artificial and white.
Brackett:
His tree would be masculine for sure. Lots of multicolored lights and
ornaments. he seems to have no problem with bold colors...we've seen his
wardrobe! Probably lots of gold garland and tinsel everywhere. I
also think he'd have a Nativity underneath! The tree is artificial and
green.
Morton:
His tree would be a mixture of Afro-American style and good old-fashioned
Christmas decorations, including candy canes. The lights would be white
and there would probably be a few sports themed ornaments and definitely a
Nativity underneath. Live tree!
Johnny:
His tree would be live. The ornaments would be from nature and some from
his native heritage. He would highlight it with white lights and strings
of berries.
Roy:
His tree would be artificial and white, full of colorful and handmade kid
ornaments. Lots of garland and tinsel. Shiny balls of all colors
and maybe a few special ones from his childhood. Underneath a racetrack
or train on top of one of those white felt type blankets with the multicolored
glitter on it.
Marco:
Pretty much a traditional live American Christmas tree. Definitely a
Nativity underneath. Some ornaments to reflect his heritage as well as
his love of family...maybe some handed down from his grandparents.
Mike:
His tree would be live as well. Traditional ornaments and lights.
Probably a few related to the fire dept. Tinsel and possibly a Nativity
underneath.
Hank:
Live tree with lots of tinsel and garland. Traditional ornaments and
lights. Some old ones made when the kids were small and a few received
over the years in the fire service. A pair of white doves they received
as a wedding gift would be on top.
Chet:
Last but not least....I kind of agree with everyone else! Metallic tree
with the color wheel. Multicolored lights and a few traditional
ornaments. He would also have a few handed down from his Irish ancestors
that he is very proud of. They were carried over when they came to
America. Definitely a Nativity underneath.
Henry:
He gets to enjoy the station tree, which is artificial and traditional.
He doesn't really care what's on it as long as he gets fed! In his honor,
I think Chet would hang some dog biscuits on it with the regular ornaments.
